Copper kitchen sinks use specific types of drains that often cannot be easily sourced at a local building supply store. Most drains for kitchen sinks are 3.5Ē in diameter and available either as a basket strainer or disposal flange. A basket strainer is the most common type of kitchen drain; itís a drain that has a removable basket that catches large particles of food and debris. A disposal flange is a drain that is typically used in conjunction with a garbage disposal or garberator. If you donít know which drain to choose or you wonít be using a garbage disposal, choose a basket strainer. We also offer a limited number of 2Ē diameter drains, which are typically used with bar sinks. Most people who buy a copper sink are looking for a drain that will blend in with the color of the sink, or match the faucet that is going to be used with the sink. Since the majority of copper sinks have a brown color tone, we only offer brown and copper colored sink drains such as oil rubbed bronze, rustic bronze and antique copper drains.
